Contemplation of Divine Love
We are called to contemplate the love revealed in Christ's Sacred Heart through daily prayer, meditation on Scripture, and Eucharistic adoration. This contemplation forms the foundation of all we are and do.
The spiritual gift that defines our identity and mission
Our charism is a unique gift from God, given to our foundress and passed down through generations of sisters, calling us to contemplate and radiate the love of Christ's Sacred Heart.
The word "charism" comes from the Greek word meaning "gift of grace." For the Daughters of the Sacred Heart, this gift is our particular way of living the Gospel - through devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose boundless love for humanity calls us to respond with our whole being.
Our foundress received this charism during a time of great social upheaval, when she recognized the deep need for God's love to heal and transform hearts. She understood that the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pierced on the cross, became a fountain of mercy for all humanity. From this contemplation arose our mission: to be instruments of that divine love in the world.
"Let us draw near to the Heart of Jesus with confidence. There we will find all that we need: strength in weakness, light in darkness, love for our coldness."

These fundamental aspects shape our spirituality and guide our daily life
We are called to contemplate the love revealed in Christ's Sacred Heart through daily prayer, meditation on Scripture, and Eucharistic adoration. This contemplation forms the foundation of all we are and do.
Our life includes offering prayers and sacrifices in reparation for sin and in intercession for the needs of the Church and the world, uniting ourselves with Christ's redemptive love.
From our contemplation flows active service. We bring Christ's love to others through education, healthcare, pastoral care, and outreach to the poor and marginalized.
Living in community, we support one another in our spiritual journey and bear witness to the unity and love that Christ desires for all His followers.
Our day is structured around the Liturgy of the Hours, daily Mass, personal meditation, and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
We celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and First Fridays with special devotion, renewing our consecration to Christ's love.
New members receive thorough formation in our charism, learning to integrate Sacred Heart spirituality into every aspect of their lives.
Whether in classrooms, hospitals, or parishes, we strive to make Christ's love tangible through our presence and service.
If our charism speaks to your heart, we invite you to learn more about our community and discern whether God may be calling you to this way of life.
